JOHN LEWIS TRIBUTE MURAL

Location: Oasis Community Center

John Robert Lewis was an American statesman and civil rights leader who served in the United States House of Representatives for Georgia's 5th congressional district from 1987 until his death in 2020. He was the chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee from 1963 to 1966.

This mural is a tribute to (the late) John Lewis. I also added Martin Luther King to the left of his face. The flying doves represents peace and unity.

Thanks to Jerry Ross, Urban Oasis Community Center and NBC for your contributions.
